He authored the company vision and raised initial capital, including National Institute of Justice grant funding. As CEO from 1987 - 2002, grew Genelex into an internationally prominent DNA testing laboratory. He's negotiated and managed a variety of patent licensing agreements and government contracts. Major clients and partners include state governments, the FBI, The Government of Kuwait, Sciona, Ltd., Life Technologies, Inc. (now Invitrogene), Applied Biosystems, Unilever Corporation and Stanford Research International. Mr Coleman has also worked with a variety of industry trade associations in government relations. Coleman has testified in more than twenty trials and is a frequently requested lecturer, industry consultant, and media spokesperson.
Tia Aulinskas, PhD. MSc, Director, Chief Technical Officer, is a founder of Genelex Corporation and brings more than 20 years of scientific and business experience in the field of DNA testing. Dr. Aulinskas has directed laboratory services for multiple national and international state and federal justice system agencies, biotechnology companies, contract clients, hospitals and individuals. She has implemented genotyping, gene sequencing, SNP testing, probe manufacture, contract research services, and FDA product release testing. Dr. Aulinskas has secured laboratory accreditation and licensing from the American Society of Blood Banks, the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors, and CLIA.
Kristine Ashcraft, BS, Director of Operations and Genetic Awareness, is a molecular biologist by training, and has over 15 years of sales and marketing management experience, including almost a decade of experience bringing cutting-edge genetic technologies to market. Ms. Ashcraft's primary focus is accelerating the adoption of personalized medicine.
Gregory Alderson, MBA, CPA, Director, has more than 20 years experience in the biotechnology and informatics sectors. Mr. Alderson is CEO of Invizeon Corporation, a provider of advanced communications solutions. He has served in finance, operations and marketing management roles at Microsoft, as CEO and CFO at Raima, CFO for General Information, Vice President of Finance for Advanced Products & Technologies, Controller for Genetic Systems, consultant for multiple startup technology companies and certified public accountant for Deloitte, Haskins and Sells. Mark Linder, PhD, DABCC, FACB, Associate Professor,
Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of Louisville,
is a recognized expert in pharmacogenetics. He serves as Assistant Director
of Clinical Chemistry and Toxicology at the University of Louisville Hospital
and the Associate Director of the Pharmacogenetics Lab. Dr. Linder is a Fellow
of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry and serves on a number of
committees of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry. His scientific
expertise includes the mechanisms for regulation of drug metabolism and bringing
the science of both Pharmacogenetics and Proteomics into clinical laboratory
practice.
Rosalynn Gill-Garrison, PhD,
has been the Chief Technology Officer of Sciona, Ltd, since it's inception.
A leading provider of personalized, science-based healthcare solutions Sciona
is a partner and supplier of technology to Genelex. Dr Gill-Garrison's academic
background includes a PhD and postdoctoral work on mechanisms of carcinogenesis
at the University of Texas, MD Anderson in the US and postdoctoral work on
DNA damage and repair at University College London in the UK. She currently
performs research in the area of nutritional genetics and is a recognized
expert in the application of genetic knowledge to the personalization of nutrition.
Carolyn Katzin, MS, CNS is an internationally
acclaimed certified nutrition specialist with twenty years experience in clinical
nutrition with an emphasis on nutrition and chronic disease prevention. She
serves as a Nutritionist for the University Executive Physical Program at
UCLA and Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center, Rancho Mirage. Her private practice
draws upon her research interests that include dietary influences on inherited
conditions and cancer, diet and metabolic disorders, and weight regulation.
She is the author of three books and is working on "The DNA Diet."
Evans Calas, MBA, MT(ASCP),
is the President, General Manager, and Founder of Sterling Reference Laboratories
and has more 25 years experience in the Clinical Laboratory business. Before
founding Sterling he served as the Vice President of Corporate Development
and Business Development Director for Dynacare Laboratories. Prior to that
he was general manager of Seattle Divisions of National Health Laboratories
and International Clinical Laboratories where he oversaw the acquisition,
planning and build-out of a major clinical laboratory facility. Calas received
his medical technologist training at Beaumont Hospital in Detroit and his
MBA from the University of Michigan.
Matthew Brignall, ND, has over 15 years experience
in Naturopathic Medicine and is an adjunct Professor of Clinical Nutrition
at Bastyr University and Senior Researcher for Salugenecists. Dr Brignall
specializes in complementary and alternative treatments for patients with
cancer. He has served in clinical practice for the Seattle Cancer Treatment
and Wellness Center, the Cascade Cancer Center, and Tahoma Clinic.
Tony Frudakis, PhD, is an expert in molecular
and cellular biology and is the Chief Scientific Officer of DNAPrint Genomics.
Dr Frudakis founded GAFF biologic, the precursor to DNAPrint, and was a Research
Scientist at Corixa Corporation where he developed several new techniques
for RNA fingerprinting, managed and executed high-throughput gene discovery
programs for various cancers. His scientific expertise includes SNP-based
ancestry markers for the inference of biogeographical ancestry admixture.
