Genelex Honored Among Fastest-growing Private Companies by Puget Sound Business Journal
After a record-breaking time of expansion, Genelex has made Puget Sound Business Journal’s prestigious list of 100 fastest-growing private companies in 2013. The journal selected the recognized pharmacogenetics leader based on its level of revenue growth from 2010, 2011, and 2012. The company’s ranking will be revealed during a private event October 10 held at the Sheraton in Seattle, and announced in a special PSBJ publication October 11. Last year Genelex also made Seattle Business Magazine’s list of “100 Best Companies to Work for in 2012”.
Originally founded as a paternity and forensics lab, Genelex became one of the first labs to provide pharmacogenetic testing back in 2000. They went on to create YouScript— the revolutionary software designed to predict which prescription medications will work best for a patient. YouScript combines a patient’s cytochrome DNA testing for drug sensitivities with the latest clinical knowledge on drug metabolism to help doctors and physicians prescribe with confidence— minimizing side effects, reducing adverse events and treatment failures, and improving patient care.
Today the company’s high capacity laboratory offers 9 pharmacogenetic tests and processes thousands of samples every month. Genelex’s high accuracy results, clinical decision support tools and pharmacist support make it a recognized leader in pharmacogenetic testing and personalized medication management software.
